¡Ya Llegaron! …el Frío Navideño y la Colaboración Medalla Light x Alexis Díaz

This is a sponsored post for Medalla Light in partnership with Eleven 11 Communications. All reviews and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal experience, love for the product and the collaboration.

Nothing screams “Navidades” more than celebrating alongside friends and family with a Medalla on hand. For those of us living outside of Puerto Rico, having a bit of home in Central Florida is a welcomed piece of nostalgia. And this year, we’re celebrating with some traditional flair.

*drumroll, please*

The much anticipated arrival of the Medalla Light x Alexis Díaz collaboration has reached Central Florida and I am super excited to share with you all that’s behind this unique collaboration.

The commemorative cans were launched as part of Medalla Light’s 40th anniversary celebration. The limited edition cans highlight the art of renowned Puerto Rican muralist Alexis Díaz and are inspired by the island, it’s people and the images that represent Puerto Ricans.

And to say that I’m excited about this collaboration is an understatement. I’ve followed the work of Alexis Díaz for several years and also had the opportunity to enjoy one of his murals while visiting South Florida. His murals are very unique in the sense that he utilizes a brushed technique rather than spray painting his murals. This technique can be appreciated in the 4 unique Medalla Light cans created for the special edition release.

The designs include the Puerto Rican jíbaro, the beach, the musical rhythms and the maga flower (PR’s state flower) from the muralist’s perspective with his touch of mythology and fantasy that is often highlighted on his pieces.

“This time my canvas was Medalla Light cans, which for me is a great honor. Being able to display my art in partnership with one of the most emblematic Puerto Rican brands, is a dream come true”

– Alexis Díaz

The collaboration also supports the arts in Puerto Rico. Medalla Light is pledging a portion of the profits made through the sale of a line of products inspired by the designs of Alexis Díaz to the Puerto Rico Museum of Art.

Did you Know!?

Medalla Light has been in Florida now for a year and breaking all sales records. It is available in more than 800 locations, including large chains. Así que, don’t forget to grab a case of these cans the next time you’re doing some “compra”, and dress your “fiestas navideñas en estilo” with the special edition #MedallaLightxAlexisDíaz cans. I know I will!

“The City Beautiful” [Orlando] Helping “La Isla del Encanto” [Puerto Rico]

The City Beautiful is mobilizing in full force to help in the relief efforts to help those in dire need in Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma & María.

In order to keep you informed of the many initiatives happening in the city, I have compiled a list of the different areas of town where you can find a donation center, organizations you can support, events you can participate in or even places where you can have a delicious meal and still help out those that need it most in Puerto Rico.

(If you know of more places that are accepting donations or hosting events, please send it over my way!)

// Si saben de algún otro lugar en dónde se están aceptando donaciones o están ayudando a la causa, por favor envíeme la información.
